5 Reasons To Come To #TGE2017

5 Reasons To Come To #TGE2016 from November 24-25, 2017 at MTCC North Building.

5) You’ll Learn Something. Walking thru #TGE2017 will be like walking thru your favourite men’s magazine. We hand pick our exhibitors. We want the most knowledgable people on the most relevant topics to be there for you. Subject matter experts: whether it’s suiting, grooming, drinks or pretty much anything related to the #BeBetter lifestyle. Strike up a conversation and you will not be disappointed.

4) Your Next Favourite Drink. Bartenders & Mixologists will be live and present each and every day. Yes, you may be amazed at some of the bottle flipping, but go a little deeper and you’ll be sure to see your favourite cocktail being made. Or maybe it’s your ‘next’ fav cocktail. Watch, learn, sample … and make sure you take away some pointers for making it yourself.

3) Like-Minded People. One thing you can guarantee at #TGE2017 is that you’ll be surrounded by like-minded people. We may all have a different style or a unique look, but one thread that connects us all is that we want to #BeBetter. The vibe on the floor is so cool, because every single gentleman or gentlewoman shares this common goal. Listen, learn, participate. Be sure to talk to people. Strangers will become friends. The experience of #TGE2017 is like nothing else.

2) Shopping. You’ll be surrounded by clothes, footwear, gear, and accessories. Get fitted for that custom suit. Try on those new boots. Add a tie-bar, leather bracelet and a maybe a new scarf. You may even leave with a whole new look. Make sure you take pictures of your purchases and tag them #BeBetter and #TGE2017.

1) #BeBetter. It’s what we preach. It could be as simple a new pomade for your hair or as large as solving world issues. Just by coming to #TGE2017 you have already taken the right step – and we thank you. We encourage you to try and sample as much as you can over the course of our two day event (Nov 24-25) and then put everything you soak up into practice in your life. Share the knowledge with your friends and keep the cycle going.  See you soon.

Best Sports Bars In Toronto

Sports can only be watched at an awesome place with awesome people. Great food, a vast beer selection and screen size all get rolled in to the equation. We’ve listed a handful of the best sports bars in the city you need to visit.

Now before we begin, we know that we can’t have a Toronto Sports Bar Round Up without giving a shout out to Real Sports Bar, but there are lots of other great places around the city that need some love also. Some of these you might know and others you may not, but either way these are places that you can have a good time with the boys and maybe even meet a pretty lady along the way. Just remember, we’re gentlemen so lets keep it classy and have a good time.

Monarch Tavern

Monarch Tavern is a great place if you’re looking to keep things fun but also low key. This Little Italy gem, is really a staple in the neighbourhood that people have been going to for decades to get their weekly fix of Serie A or Premiership soccer. A classic neighbourhood bar with craft beer on tap, 30 plus bourbons, and good food. There’s also a pool table, pinball machine and a dart board that add to the comforting atmosphere.

The Dock Ellis

Cheekily named for a pitcher famous for throwing a no-hitter on acid, The Dock Ellis is a low key pub that has cheap food, plenty of TVs, communal tables, craft beer on tap, foosball (or Gitoni as the North York kids like to call it) and pool tables. This is a great place for those looking to catch a game while avoiding the typical rowdiness of other sports bars.

The Football Factory

It’s no surprise that if you visit The Football Factory, there will probably be soccer playing somewhere in the bar. Luckily there is a TV at every table, as the owners like to boast about, so you’ll’ be able to catch all the action no matter where you sit. Another great feature about this place, is that they open at 7am on weekends… What more could anyone ask for?  Expect decent food, a dozen good beers on tap, and a army of red jerseys before and after every TFC game.

Hunter’s Landing

Hunter’s Landing is a roomy sports bar with two floors, a decent size patio & mezzanine seating. Serving up a menu of hearty Canadian fare & drinks, it’s great for catching a game on a hot summer day. With a good looking crowd and cool atmosphere it’s no wonder their patio is always packed on Saturdays. Or it could be because of their signature drink/meal called The Landing Cure Ceasar … Trust me, you have to see this thing to believe it.

Shark Club Sports Bar & Grill

Located at Yonge and Dundas, Shark Club is a lively sports bar with a third-floor patio that overlooks the downtown core. It’s been voted as Canada’s best sports bar twice and is the place to be if you are looking for a premium sports experience. With a massive HD TV in the middle of the bar and 57 smaller ones, you’ll have a great view of the game no matter where you’re sitting.

We’d also like to give a nod to:

The Dog & Bear, The Loose Moose, and The Dizzy.

“Boss” is a state of mind

I’m a pretty social wheat beer. It’s just the way I was brewed. Well, people’ve been asking me where I find the confidence to lead this life full of flavour, and figured it was time to respond.

To be honest, I’m pretty sure it’s the orange peel. Apparently there’s a lot more to it than the citrus notes. And I suppose my perfect pint glass posture helps, too.

Sorry, not sorry if that wasn’t what you were looking for but I’m not going to pretend like there are three simple rules for living life confidently. Look, if you’re still looking for some gusto, maybe this will help:

Wanna chat up a stranger on the patio? Open up your face-hole and see what comes out.

Wanna pull a Maverick and rock a Hall & Oates love ballad at the bar? Then wait for karaoke. Or don’t – because who really cares?

Wanna bust out some funky fresh moves on the dance floor? Yeah, maybe don’t do that.

Seriously dude, all you gotta do is get yourself out there. Be yourself. It’ll all work (eventually).

Confidence is in your head; just try not to think about it. And hey, if you ever want to chat, you know where to find me.
